Six loads from 8 to 40 pounds in one bell that lives in a corner.
One dial takes this kettlebell from 8 pounds to 40 through six settings, and that turn is why it holds the top spot. Six bells' worth of load lives in one shell that sits on the floor beside a bookcase, which is often the difference between a home gym that fits a spare room and one that never gets set up. Load changes take a second, so a circuit that runs from presses to rows to swings doesn't stall while you hunt for another bell.
The shape is what you pay for that convenience. The 840 is taller and boxier than a cast-iron bell of the same weight, and the moulded shell crowds the space your forearm wants during cleans, pass-throughs and figure-eights. We found it disappeared during swings, squats, presses and rows, where the bell travels away from the body, and got in the way during the movements where it doesn't. If your training is built on around-the-body work, buy iron; if it's built on the big compound lifts, this is the one to start with.
The handle is 28 mm of plastic rather than bare steel. That's pleasant in a cold garage and easier on the palms than a rough powder coat, though it turns slicker than steel once your hands are wet, and two hands fit on it only if you don't have especially large ones. The included two-month membership trial is a nice extra rather than a reason to buy.
Be clear about what this is: a composite shell built for controlled swings, not a lump of iron you can drop on a driveway. The two-year warranty is the longest stated coverage in this group — the Yes4All and bintiva sets both carry one year — and it tells you how the maker expects the bell to be treated.
Bottom Line
Buy it if you want one bell that covers a whole workout and lives in a corner; it's the best default here for a small home gym.
