E.T.ENERGIC
E.T.ENERGIC Olympic Curl Bar
- Bar Weight 20 lb
- Shaft Diameter 28 mm
- Loadable Sleeve 7.6 inches
- Weight Capacity 700 lb
The smoothest spin, longest sleeves, and a 700-pound rating in one Olympic bar.
The first thing we noticed once this bar was loaded is what the plates don't do: they turn. With ball bearings and a brass bushing working in the sleeves, the weight rotates instead of dragging, and the bar stays quiet through a set — no squeal, no rattle, none of the grinding that shows up on cheaper Olympic bars. Of everything in this guide, it has the smoothest, best-behaved spin, and that's a large part of why it earns the top spot.
The numbers behind that impression hold up. The 700-pound rating is the highest here alongside the LIONSCOOL, the 28 mm shaft is the diameter most lifters' hands expect, and 7.6 inches of loadable sleeve is the longest in this set, so a full stack of plates doesn't crowd the collars. The knurling has enough bite for sweaty hands without filing your palms; we chalked up and never felt the bar working against us.
What you accept in return is weight and plainness. At 20 pounds empty it's the heaviest bar here alongside the LIONSCOOL, which is a real starting load for someone who can't yet curl 20 pounds — the lighter CAP or the standard LAVVON is the better first bar in that case. And the matte black finish is industrial rather than pretty. Neither bothered us once the plates were on.
Bottom Line
We recommend it as the default Olympic curl bar: the smoothest spin here, the longest sleeves, and a 700-pound rating that leaves room for more than curls.
