Under Armour Charged Commit 4
- Type Cross trainer
- Sizing True to size
- Toe Box Wide
- Department Men's
A stable, wide-toe trainer that handles lifting, circuits, and gym days without pinching flat feet.
The wide toe box and secure heel are what make the Charged Commit 4 our default for flat feet. It gives the forefoot room to spread without letting the midfoot swim, which is the balance that matters when you are moving between barbell work and conditioning. The shoe feels planted enough for squats and lateral drills, yet it does not turn clunky during short cardio.
We were struck by how little this shoe asks you to compromise. The fit runs true to size, the upper locks the midfoot without pinching, and the sole has enough firmness to keep you from feeling like you are balancing on a cushion. For flat feet, that stability matters more than a soft, squishy ride. The Charged Commit 4 also handles walking and short gym cardio without turning into a brick.
We kept it in the rotation for mixed sessions: dumbbell work, sled pushes, rows, and short intervals. It is not the lightest trainer here, and the ride is on the firm side, but that firmness is what makes the shoe feel planted. The side walls hold up well, which is a real plus if you are hard on the forefoot during lunges and lateral drills.
The side walls are the part we noticed most during lateral work; they keep the foot from spilling over the platform, and the toe box stays roomy even when the laces are pulled tight.
Bottom Line
We recommend the Charged Commit 4 as the default for flat-footed gym-goers who want one stable, wide-fitting shoe for lifting, circuits, and everyday training.
