Synergy Men's Elite Sleeveless
- Model Elite
- Gender Men's
- Sleeve Sleeveless
True-to-size fit, a generous pad that works on bike and run, and a fair price.
Race morning is a logistics problem before it's a fitness problem, and the suit is most of it. One garment for the swim, the bike and the run removes the changing tent, the towel and the decision, and the Synergy Elite Sleeveless does that with less fuss than anything else in this group. Front zip, side pockets, a seat pad, and no sleeves to argue with.
For most men, this is the best all-round suit here. The fit lands true, the fabric stays tight to the body without fighting you at the shoulders, and the seat pad is more generous than the race pads on the SLS3 suits: noticeable on the bike leg, barely there on the run. What we kept coming back to was the comfort. No chafing at the leg openings, nothing rubbing under the arms, and pockets you can reach without unzipping.
Nothing here is flashy. The leg grippers hold without pinching, the color scheme is loud enough that your friends can spot you on the run, and the whole thing dries fast enough that the swim doesn't follow you onto the bike. Those are small things individually. Together they're the difference between a suit you notice and one you don't.
Sizing is the one place to slow down. Order by chest and height together rather than weight, and if you're carrying width across the shoulders, take the larger of two sizes. The armhole is the tightest point on any sleeveless cut, and it's the first place a suit starts to feel wrong.
Bottom Line
For most men, this is the one: a true-to-size fit, a pad that works on the bike and vanishes on the run, and a price that leaves something for entry fees.
