AQF
AQF Dip Belt
- Hardware Two locking carabiners
- Chain Gauge 5-gauge
- Chain Length 36 in.
- Belt Material Neoprene-backed polypropylene
A comfortable, affordable 36-inch-chain belt that handles most weighted dip and pull-up sessions.
The AQF is the dip belt we recommend first because it gets the basics right: a 36-inch steel chain, two locking carabiners, and a contoured neoprene back. That's not a long feature list, but it's the right one for most people adding a plate to dips and pull-ups. The belt sits flat against the lower back, the chain threads through a standard plate without a fight, and the carabiners clip securely on both sides. At a budget price, that combination is hard to beat.
The neoprene backing is the detail we appreciated most. It's soft enough to wear over a T-shirt without bunching, but the belt still feels stable once the chain is loaded. The reinforced stitching and heavy-duty polypropylene give it a sturdier feel than the price suggests, and the 36-inch chain is long enough for most standard plates. Taller lifters or anyone using oversized bumper plates may want the extra length of a 38-inch chain, but for regular gym plates this one is sorted.
What we keep coming back to is how little thought the AQF requires. Put it on, clip a plate, do the set, take it off. No fussy buckles, no extra strap to route, no hardware digging into your hip bones. It's the belt we hand to someone who wants to start weighted dips without overthinking the gear, and it stays comfortable when the reps get slow.
Bottom Line
The AQF is our default dip belt for most lifters: comfortable, simple to load, and priced like a first belt should be.
